The objective of recreational or entertainment activitiesis to improve the quality of life of the guest through maintenance and development of his/her remaining abilities and as such, the entertainment programme cannot be separated from observation and analysis of the real capacities of each guest.
Recreational activities should thus be considered as an integral part of the social welfare intervention and therefore are organised in the facility at various times of the day.
They consist essentially of activities of music therapy, and expressive, creative and manual activities, and all operators are involved in their implementation, but above all the figure of the animator who will occasionally be present in structure but will nevertheless organise activities from outside.
In partnership and in agreement with the animator, volunteers may involve users of the Rest Home in entertainment and social recreation activities, organise various activities of socialising also externally, and implement games-recreational interventions.

Guaranteed benefits for self-sufficient guests, included in the monthly fee, are only those below:

  • food day with: breakfast, lunch, dinner, mid-morning beverage and afternoon snack
  • hygiene and daily cleaning of guest's room
  • daily bed-making
  • laundry service
  • entertainment, socialising, rehabilitation and recreation activities
  • emergency social welfare and health care in an emergency
  • social welfare activity
  • possibility of making telephone calls, also from rooms
  • religious service at the discretion of the parish of reference.

 

The Residence provides community-type assistance and observes performance standards provided for by Regional Law 19/97. Basic principles are respect for the dignity of the guest, to be achieved through professional assistance to ensure the maintenance of maximum independence, and individuality in tastes (clothing, hobbies, etc ....), putting the person, in his/her entirety, at the centre of organisation of activities.

The residence organizes rehabilitation, socialising, recreation and entertainment activities aimed at countering the psycho-physical decline of users as well as maintaining and enhancing their residual abilities.

The residence guarantees the facilitation of communication with the outside through easy access to the telephone, the availability of newspapers and magazines, and an efficient internal mail service.
The facility provides the local newspaper and, on request, will purchase other newspapers and magazines.

The postal service receives mail from guests on a daily basis and distributes incoming mail every day between 10.00 and 12.00.


The Residence provides for a service of spiritual assistance, organises worship services and allows guests to receive the comfort of ministers of all denominations.

RETRAINING AND TRAINING OF PERSONNEL

Retrainining and training are a right for all staff and an obligation for the Residence on which staff depend, and to that effect the quality of training activities is taken into consideration at the time of completion of tenders for assignment of the service.
The Residence must ensure regular organisation of training courses and promote training courses aimed at the development of a general professional culture.

The day of the guest residing in the facility is normally divided as follows:
The multifunctional Residence is an "open" facility, where guests can come and go freely, in full respect of the needs, rhythms and needs of the community. The Residence promotes the periodic return of users to their families, especially during holidays, and pursues the possibility of returning the elderly to their own family setting and loved ones, providing that health and environmental conditions are favourable. To better order community life, the Residence follows some organisational criteria aimed at structuring the day and scheduling the main activities of users:

09.00 / 11.30 - Free time, any occupational and rehabilitation therapy

To enable the development of social life, visiting hours are flexible, thus promoting integration with relatives, friends and acquaintances. However, to respect the privacy, rhythms of life of users and the main organisational needs of the Residence, visiting times will be agreed with the Management.
